Merryn began her career within the hearing industry on the 2nd January 2002, when she began as a receptionist in a hearing clinic in Echuca. With only three months in the industry, Merryn – who had always had a passion for health and human relations, along with her employers, began the path to her becoming a clinician. In October 2005, Merryn obtained her Certificate IV in Audiometry. She married Nathan in November 2006. Followed by her obtaining her Ordinary Membership with the Australian College of Audiology in February 2007.

Merryn spent the next 5 years working hard at her career and began her family. Nathan & Merryn’s eldest child was born in 2008, quickly followed by another in 2009 and their third in 2011. In April 2012, Nathan & Merryn made the move to Swan Hill to manage the clinic there. Merryn had been travelling fortnightly to Swan Hill from Echuca since 2005 (possibly earlier!). In November 2012, Nathan & Merryn purchased the hearing clinic Merryn had been managing and they began “Acoustic Health”.

Over the next 3.5 years Merryn worked in the hearing clinic. Nathan joined Merryn in the clinic in October 2015, following an inner review of his health, lifestyle and the physical toll his current occupation was having on his body. At the same time, Nathan began studying a Diploma of Audiometry. Nathan had a history of working in the agriculture industry, prior to his move into Audiology. He has worked with pigs, cattle, sheep and goats, from nutrition, to welfare, to husbandry, Nathan has spent his life in the farming game, beginning at the age of 15.

Since working together, Nathan & Merryn have become a strong team. With the help of their front of house staff, Sophie Parsons and Rebecca Hull, they have changed and hope to change many more lives in the Swan Hill area and beyond.
